Hello 2026 - A message to all members. What has changed.
2025 has been a very busy year for FOTA. Our many Irish FOTA and POTA activations were for all involved a remarkable gathering of same minded HAM operators. FOTA HQ in Kerry has welcomed over 200 members visiting 'Ireland's Paradise' and participating in activations.
When our EI4FOTA callsign got used for more and more POTA activations we applied for EI4POTA with the aim to activate all (197 and counting) POTA parks in Ireland. In our first year we have activated 24 parks and we welcomed 23 nationalities as guest operators.
The succes of this confirms our concept for memberships. For 2026 we continue to offer 2 different memberships. The Irish Céad Mile Fáilte POTA Activator for operators visiting us in Ireland and the DX Activator membership for those who want to accompany us in activating remote places. Both memberships will have great benefits. See below.

UPDATE ON MEMBERSHIPS: POTA Membership is available to subscribe/purchase in Spring and Winter. Jan-March period and October-December period. DX Activator membership is available from January 1 till January 31 and will be limited to 100 new memberships for 2026. This is to organise purchase and availability of special offer equipment.
Announcing the 2026 Part 2 of our EU / DX POTA Activation Tour.
Starting March 2026, we will go 'on the road/in the air' again, activating special POTA parks in the EU and DX. We invite up to 20 members on each trip to join us in the activation. All activities will be offered on a subsidised price. Some activations will include flights.

DX Activator Membership : Membership funds used for DX activations / expeditions.
As of January 1 - 2025 we have many hundreds of members from 46 nationalities! And this gives us nice opportunities.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could meet in joint HAM Radio DX adventures?
You agree ? We think so too.
Therefore we have now allocated 75.000 Euro of future DX Activator membership fees to subsidise up to 50% of your travel expenses for joining us in future DX endeavours.
To allow for multiple trips we will subsidise a maximum of 1000 Euro per member and a max of 12 members to join us on a single adventure.
We will aim to have 12 nationalities on every trip.
The Irish POTA Activator Membership : Visiting POTA Ireland
In 2024 we had over 140 members visiting us in Ireland. That was way beyond our wildest expectations! Those were memorable experiences. This year we want to give you a hassle free POTA experience. This membership will give you one night FREE accommodation in a B&B close to the POTA activation. We will also provide you with the top of the range Icom, Yaesu or FlexRadio equipment and antennas. Just book a flight to Cork and we will take it from there! This approach makes it possible for many of our EU members to book a cheap single hand luggage fare for a short visit.
Our maybe an overnight in 'Paradise' is what you really want?
FOTA HQ is located in County Kerry, in Sneem, close to the Mcgillycuddy's National Park (IE-0161) and on what is known as 'The Ring of Kerry'. Both memberships give you a free night of accommodation in a self catering apartment and 24 hours acces to the 'FOTA HQ Shack'.
We have multiple Icom, Yaesu and FLEXRadio stations for use.
Welcome to our Cyprus Contest and POTA activation Station H2F
Ireland is a magic place for outdoor activations for about 8 months of the year. For winter Park On The Air gatherings, a warmer, sunnier and dryer climate might be better. As we also love IOTA activations, we thought why not have a second HQ on the beautiful island of Cyprus?
H2F will enable us to do contests from a different GRID perspective and also opens up the possibilities of CY POTA activations.
The H2F station is in its building phase at the moment. We aim for a September inauguration. In between you might see us on the bands for short antenna tests. H2F will be powered by FlexRadio AURORA.
Our Remote Antenna Park Network
This is for DX Activator members only and we will grant you access to it after we have met in person. Due to different rules and regulations in different countries this service is only available to full (HAREC) licence holders operating from a country where remote operating is allowed.
The map at the top of this page gives you an idea of what our network is! It is a community service amongst members.
In the future it will also become possible to become a 'remote operator' on our expeditions.
FOTA Membership now comes with worldwide QSL service.
After numerous requests we are proud to announce that FOTA now
has its own QSL service.
No need for another HAM club membership to receive your QSL cards.
FOTA also provides QSL management, printing and direct mail service.
